Every console ever made was an evolution or a revolution of the previous gen. I think the OP is talking about something that will change gaming in a huge way like motion controls, xbox live, or the CD drive though. Even achievements was pretty big. Sharing has potential to be big but it also cant be an internet hog or it will be only used by people who have very good internet.
I would say blindly saying yes with little infor is more ignorant than people who are saying no.

All I see is the question asking if it will change console gaming or industry. And it will do that. No if's ands or buts about it. Sharing being the most obvious one but still many more ways than that.
Retail game industry will change. Developers will change. There will be tons of changes to a lot of aspects of the industry by the time Ps4 is done

Yes but his question was implied. To the way you are answering the question then every console ever was a revolution (evolution) of the previous console. As for a bigger change then no it will not have the same effect as motion controls, XBL, or the CD drive.
That is fine for you to have an opinion but dont call people ignorant especially when you decided to take a different approach to the question than most people.

Gaming habits and demographics along with game genres will be revolutionized. I wouldn't be surprised if a new genre all together emerges from some creative minds
