No guys... the EU 20/60GB and US 80GB have no hardware... only software emulation... Sony only disabled that in later models but the software emulation is on firmware yet... only disable for PS2 disc use.

Absolute rubbish, it's as common knowledge as the grass is gree that 60GB EU models has the CPU missing and the 80GB US model has the full PS2 hardware inside, just have a look on wikipedia if you don't believe me it clearly states this, even the BC list is different for 60GB and 80GB models because the CPU being emulated reducses compatibility.

The PS2 classics run in this software emulation... always did... it is old.

Yes they do, but not PS2 retail games. PS2 classics have only been around since the software emulator was created which was NOT 5 years ago!

Even in the hack community the guys enable the software emulation for PS2 before Firmware 3.55... this already happened in hacker community since 2011 (or before after the first hack happened).

Absolute rubbish, the PS2 software emulator hasn't been opened at all. You might be thinking of the hardware based compatibility which was opened by the Cobra dongle 2 years ago, but that only worked on backward compatible consoles.

This is really old news.

No it isn't, it's 5 day old news that isn't posted anywhere on any news sties.

Consider yourself schooled....again!
