No guys... the EU 20/60GB and US 80GB have no hardware... only software emulation... Sony only disabled that in later models but the software emulation is on firmware yet... only disable for PS2 disc use.
The PS2 classics run in this software emulation... always did... it is old.
Even in the hack community the guys enable the software emulation for PS2 before Firmware 3.55... this already happened in hacker community since 2011 (or before after the first hack happened).
This is really old news.
