All PS3s are backward compatible with PS2 software.

What's criminal is that Sony is sitting on fully functioning PS2 backwards compatability and forcing people to re-purchase thier PS2 Classic games they already own on disc from the PSN store.

It requires CFW to run which if you use will void your warrenty plus you will have to illgally download or copy ps2 games to play them on your ps3....Makes sense aye?

It's also not criminal that sony doesn't use this software, people dont have to rebuy anything!?!?! you just keep your ps2 its that simple. When you buy your ps3 you no full well that it isn't going to play ps2 games, and if I were sony I wouldnt use the software that would only support 70-90% of ps2 games.

its perfectly legal. as is making back up of discs, as is using custom firmware. nothingillegal at all going on here unless you download games you dont own.
