Actually UAE prisons aren't too bad and probably much much better than that prison he was in. They would have treated him better in prison, but the courts here may have given him the death penalty for taking someone else's life. In fact, in the prisons here there are lots of foreigners, but they are mostly here because they were in debt and couldn't pay the banks back, and for that, they were sent to jail.  

Yeah, sorry I was just giving a random example. I just get sick of people banging on about certain countries because its cool these days to bash them. And how "they'd never go there" or declare their law over another after hearing these sensationalism articles. These things happen all the time around the world and I can guarantee you that a lot more prisons are much worse than this. So, he had to eat congee and rice everyday, had no place to excercise and had smoke blowing in his face.. boo fucking hoo, shouldn't have killed a man then.

Its simple, if you visit foreign lands you respect their law. If you dont't like it it, tough. Different cultures, laws and all that. Sure, he might have been mistreated but he must have known it is a communist country. If you break to law, you will face the consequences.
