But Sony already said their console plays used games. There are no recent rumors saying PS4 won't. Of course there may be discussions behidn the scenes about blocking used games and I'm sure they happened before the PS3 and 360 launches as well. Every time these rumors come up, whether they refer to PS or XBox, we complain about it being a bad idea and anti-consumer.

But these rumors say there is no way to play an Xbox 720 games straight from the disc. Yes, many PS3 games have mandatory installs but these are PARTIAL. They dont' install the full game since that would take up way too much space. Yes, some PS4 games will probably have mandatory installs but they'll be partial just like on the PS3. So unless Microsoft provides a huge HDD then this is a bad idea.
