The lower skill ceiling doesn't mean anything unless you're near the top, which includes very few of those who actually complain about it. I wouldn't say there's "less strategy" either, otherwise what makes the asian teams so much better than the rest of the world's?

You have less going on at once, sure. But in that sense, DotA is easy compared to a real RTS like Starcraft, which has virtually no limits for mechanical skill.
