| Kindro said: DmC is the king of hack'n slash. God of War is only a recycling of the previous GoW games, obviously Sony know how to milk that series, but as a gamer who played all the GoW games I've been disappointed. MGR:R has big flaws in its combat system, it's short, full of f*cking QTEs... and level design was very boring and flat. DmC is exactly what the series after DMC 2 and DMC 4 needed. Great gameplay, much deeper than combat system with Nero in DMC 4. Awesome level and art design and even better soundtrack. SSadistically SSSensational reboot ! |
I was wondering when you would answer in this thread. Your comments in the sales section of MGR are priceless. =D
I've underlined those three statements. No argue in the short part. Other than the parry (Which I think that's what you complain, and let me answer that, you can't parry everything), why is the combat system flawed?
Full of f*cking (fucking?) QTEs... you've probably not played the game. There are like...ten mandatory QTE's in the whole game, the finishing moves in bosses battles and I don't know what else. Ten, as much. Ten. TEN. Don't come and say that enemies have QTE's too, because those are, primarily, not mandatory. You can either press those (if you want a stylish execution) or you can blade-cut them. But no need to press "QTE".
The level design was very boring and flat... I don't get this. It is not the prettiest of level design, but why was it boring? The third and fourth chapter throught Denver (Was it Denver?) looked priceless, especially when you could cut almost everything in a normal city. But perhaps that's just me.
