Negatives are losing the ability to borrow, take games to friends houses, and of course all used game market.

hmmm ok... I thought I heard elsewhere there were other less beneficial terms to digital sales...

In those negatives you can derive the idea that you don't own the actual game. So this would mean you'd never see 30 year old games on Ebay.
