Okay, so truth be told, I don't think people with severe mental disabilities would even know they're being insulted.  So I'm not sure it's accurate to say you're offending that group of people, if they're not aware they're being offended.  If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Worst reply, as in, most honest?  I wasn't talking to be mean or unfeeling, I was merely stating an objective fact.  I'm actually someone who finds the words quite offensive.
