Oh, good, that means I can save the money on the Vita version of X (since I'm almost 100% sure this won't have Cross Buy).

Buying X-2 new without looking up more about it was one of the worst mistakes I ever inflicted on my PS2. I've always looked up all the info I could about sequels ever since.
