At the end of the day the average, slightly business inclined person will still see "Forbes said it" and assume that means it's credible.

Looking at the article you linked it looks like readership has only gone up, which means it's becoming more influential, regardless of the model used.

Having the Forbes site filled with positive PS4 articles, regardless of the source, effectively means Forbes is leaning that direction due to this model.

The media is always biased one way or another so this really isn't surprising in any regard, and most people don't even catch on. But you have to admit it is still greatly influential in molding the opinions of the masses.
