There is a lot of Greek mythos to be used. There is a lot of deception and hidden powers. Also there is a creature born from the union of Gaia and tartarus, Typhon that was so, so powerful that some greek gods escaped like pansys to egypt trololol and there you have the birth of the Egyptian mythology. Also, He defeated Zeus. He is the father of the Hydra, cerberus, the nemean lion and also the sphinx. So yeah, even though they could eventually use egyptian mythos, there is still lot of great stuff to explore in the greek mythology. And also the blades dont need to go, they just need add different weapons into the game, and revamp the combos of the blades. God of War without Kratos is like Metal Gear Solid without Snake. Just no.

I AGREE! I wouldnt be as interested in the series, to be honest. I don't think they will retire him though. Just before the game released SSM said they still have a lot of ideas for Kratos in the future. That bodes well for future installments with the guy. To be honest, for me since Crash departed I didn't cling to any character from Sony till Kratos, and if they retired him I'd be pissed. >< SSM better find a way to implement his angry ass in future games because I want MORE RAGE!!!! Ascensions is not enough!!!!! xD
EDIT ... just read your response above. Very interesting! I would welcome that stuff you now. Either way, I'm going to support SSM with my wallet since I enjoy their games and Kratos is my favorite Sony character. Phuck Adam the unskilled, Marcus the alcoholic and all the other haters.
