I've had that suspicion for a while too. I seriously question if they're READY to launch this year. A GREAT launch is preferable to a weak launch, in my opinion. Even if they launch a few months later, say May 2014, it'd be better if they can use that time to fine-tune the hardware and get at least a major exclusive for day 1. This year I don't think it's likely they'll have a major, hardware-mover EXCLUSIVE CORE game at launch. No no no! In this day and age exclusives are not as important as multiplats. If only PS4 launches this holiday then it will get COD, Ass Creed, Battlefield, and all the other yearly games to itself (as far as next gen goes). Then the 720 launches a few months later and a majority of it's launch lineup will have already released on PS4 or be releasing that day on PS4. Big no no.


But Xbox is no longer about the core gamers. If they also need the time to fine-tune the hardware and new Kinect functions and Kinect games to really WOW that large audience they want to cater to then they'd better take it. Again, if they're ready then go ahead with the launch, if they're not set to have a great launch it's better to launch later.
