Most of those "retards" are probably going to stick with the physical discs then since digital distribution is "scary".

Which isn't necessarily a good thing. Digital Distribution opens up a lot of doors for new experiences for both developers and gamers. If Wii U owners ignore digital distribution, then that's not a good thing.
