They forgot to say that despite GDDR5 speed, it has high latency. There's a reason you use DDR3 as main RAM on PC, and that's because of the low latency. I'm not sure how it'll impact CPU performance on PS4, but as N64 with it's RAMBUS RAM told us, latency issues are a big problem in a console environment, even more than raw speed.
