I was comparing the top late-gen PS2 exclusives to the top PS3 launch exclusives. Why are you comparing sports games? That's a terrible barometer... Madden '06 on 360 looked hardly any better than Madden on the current gen consoles of the time for example, and it played even worse due to the bugs.

Like I said, Ps3 launch titles were like polished Ps2 titles.

And that's the exact same thing between PS3 and PS4 (games shown so far) imo. Killzone looks like a very polished PS3 game, it looks good, but nothing more than that.

that's exactly the point. Look how far developers have come since Ps3 launch. We can't possibly say one was bigger than the other yet until devs max out the system. Since the ps4 is easy to code for I'm sure it will happen earlier in its life though

Oh I agree to that, imo the biggest improvements this gen will be in terms of open world games. Imo most games will look like Killzone graphics (and by "most games" I mean the CoDs and other famous franchises).
But anyway in my opinion this leap (at least so far) is not as big as other gens. SNES to PS1/N64 was by far the biggest and PS2 to PS3 seems to be bigger.
