UnitSmiley said: Well it is about a robot thing turning into an even bigger robot thing. Lord knows Japan love their robots xD. Plus we have Square that told us to please be excited fpr E3. If it isn't Versus, it's bound to be something that is "Japanesy".

The problem is I don't trust Square knows what can get me excited anymore, at least when it comes to announcements. lol
|
Square: Uhm...oh yeah *Stage goes dark*
Square: FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE!!!
Crowd: /Cum
|
"Exclusive for the Wii U!" You get what I am saying. ;)
|
Don't even joke!...*tear*
|
Actually, with Bayonetta 2 and Versus I would pick a Wee U down the line... maybe... used... the game used as well. lol
|
Haha Wii U's are cool. I'll probably get one eventually. I just meant that seeing an FF7 remake on anything but a Sony system would be...weird.
|
It was released on PC as well though.
|
Eh a year later. It's still synonymous with Playstation though.
|
I see it that way as well. :) Just trying to put some facts out here before someone else does. lol

120 millions is a lot yes, but this could be the game Sony could use to appeal to the Japanese market. Apart from Deep Down which isn't a proven franchise, what was there to appeal to the Japanese market that Sony showed in its unveiling this past month?
If Sony helps this game out and also does marketing for the game it could prove beneficial for both Square and Sony. MGS4 showed that exclusives can sell.
But then, this is only a rumor and even I have the feeling it won't be exclusive.
|
The Japanese console maket is pretty dead at the moment, pushing a $120m game for that market is pretty insane. MGS4's 5.74m would probably not be very profitable for a $120m game so if that is the golden example that you are going to hold up it isn't really a good one in this case. Since the game spent most of it's development as a PS3 game I think they should at least have it as a cross generation release.
|
I said I don't think this game will be exclusive at all, if it even exists and releases. That's the thing, we don't know a lot of things:
1) Is this rumor true?
2) Is it being supported with Sony money?
3) Is Sony giving enough money to make Square confortable for the release?
4) Is Sony advertising the game?
5) Is the game really taking 120 mil in development costs?
I just expressed my wish. I wish it takes 120 mil in development, I wish it is PS4 exclusive, I wish everything goes well for Square and it earns profit. I wish for a lot of things.
I think you are overestimating the power of Teh Cell and underestimating the power of the 8GB DDR5.
