Windows 8 tablets generic is what really matters. I'd like to see that number by the end of 2013 and 2014.

I suspect that eventually this will be like saying Android is a flop because Google don't sell many phones.

C'mon kowen.. this is the flagship win8 tablet.. you can't deny its not doing well..


The flagship is the pro wich has sold 400k in a month. That's alot of $$$.

 

Totally wasted opportunity by MS, don't know what their doing, but I think 99% of us fortold the situation playing out like this.


How come "%99" of us don't have 50 billion in cash reserves then? Talking about it over the internet after it has happened and claiming you predicted it, (if you did tough, kudos) doesn't mean MS don't know what they're doing.

I'm not claiming to be a prophet or anything :) I genuinely saw it coming and expect no kudos for it as genuinely thought it was a given in most people's minds. It's easy enough to rubbish my prophetness though, I along with 99% of people thought kinect would be a sales disaster, now look at it.

I just think it was a missed opportunity and should have been released 3-4 years ago, I mean they've been showing surface related concepts for the past 10 years, you know those "visions for the future" type stuff where everyone will have a PC in the living room...oh wait...that's already happened and largely not taken off (got an XBMC setup myself but speaking for the wider public)

If they'd have pulled their finger out instead of producing demo sets of "homes of the future" like they were 10 years ago and actually done something back then, "Surface" could have easily been in homes a few years down the line from then.

Instead we have basically a cynical device that doesn't know what it is, inspired by the prototypes 10 years ago but only really seriously taken to market after seeing the success of the iPad, it's just not on and Surface deserves to die on that point alone. Not cool.
