I only JUST got into God of War, so i'm not like a long time fan defending it or anything. But I seriously wouldn't count the PSP games if you are arguing that it's being over done.

It just seems like stretching to me.

God of War PS2 (2005)
God of War II PS2 (2007)

God of War Chains of Olympus PSP (2008)
God of War Ghost of Sparta PSP (2010)

God of War III PS3 (2010)
God of War Ascension PS3 (2013)

2 on each platform doesn't seem overdone to me. Especially since the PSP is a handheld. You can't really count the collection or origins imo. I suppose reviewers have to review them but they shouldn't let that affect their reviews of Ascension. Havn't played Ascension yet btw (besides multiplayer).

Reviewers have to review all of them.  They are also apart of the main series with similar playstyle.

Im not sure why everybody is acting like I'm saying something that is offesive to GoW.  Great series but it is hard to say that they dont release a ton of these games in a short amount of time.

I didn't interpret what you said as offensive, I just disagree with it. I really don't even see the two PSP games (as good as they are) as part of the main series. I just finished both PSP games and GoW 1 within a few days of each other and today started GoW 2. GoW 2 doesn't even really reference the two PSP games (because it came out before them).

You can literally finish GoW 1 and go straight into GoW 2 and not have really missed anything.

Maybe it's just a personal thing but I've never really counted handheld versions of a franchise along with the main series. Kind of like how many people want Kingdom Hearts 3, but have never played any of the handheld spinoffs.

As far as reviewers go, I suppose it makes sense.
