I agree. But still I wonder why most of the reviews are 7-8?? The graphics, gameplay, the pacing, the soundtrack is better in this game than in GOW3, (the story is different but good), but still the reviewer tread this like if it was crap in comparison, "but still a good game" I just dont get it, it is like if they were playing a completely different game.

The good thing at least is that the gamers are treating this game accordingly.

This was my conundrum while playing. Reviewers and a lot of gamers for years and years have been chanting "It's about the gameplay! It's about the gameplay!" and so SSM delivers the best gameplay package they have ever delivered and reviewers are saying "Where are the epic QTE moments"?!? It's frickin' backwards lol (especially when you consider that this is a prequel before Kratos, you know, fights the Gods?! You'd expect it to be less over the top than GoW3. I know I did.)

Their complaint on God of War III was that it focused too much on epic QTE events rather than the actual combat system. It really makes no sense to me. I'm playing the game and think. Wow, the gameplay is brilliant. Wtf are they talking about?! I mean I, myself, have been disappointed in the approach to the story. It hink SSM dropped the ball with not making this an EMOTIONAL epic instead of a just a visual one. This was really a chance to show a different side of Kratos that resonates and even humanizes him a bit and I guess I went into thinking they would deliver. And they haven't that regard. But critics never really adored GoW's story and the 7-8's that are criticising are mostly critising the lack of WOW factor which was criticsed as being SSM's only focus in GoW3.

Regardless of what a website thinks, I know this. I've played ever GoW game ever realesed. And I've played most hack-n-slash games out there. This is without question the best hack-n-slash gameplay of all time. And it's not even close.
