IV is my favorite too, it has the best storyline and characters, and it was a bit more "modern" in the sense that you didn't have to fight the same enemies for three hours to level up enough to just barely scrape by the next location, so you can repeat the process. It flowed more smoothly. Awesome awesome games. Can't wait to go get PSII.
