Its all opinion based which should be respected, if the points are related to the topic in the thread or are brought up for a reason in a discussion. If its brought up for no reason its trolling obviously.
1. "Rare is a terrible developer"
Rare is disappointing for me. Their old games were on another level entirely. What they do now doesn't interest me at all. My last Rare game was Conker on N64 I think. So yes from my point of view they are a terrible developer if they exist or not has no influence on my life anymore.
2. "MS cares only about casuals"
No I don't think so, they just seem to target the casuals stronger than they did in the past. But in the end MS wants all types of customers like Sony.
3. "MS has no franchises"
Imo they have enough and I think MS will increase their software output next gen considerably.
4. "Xbox Live is a rip of"
Depends on your personal needs. For me its not good value since I rarely play online but for other people Xbox live seems to be worth it.
5. "Kinect is dumb"
No I think the technology itself has potential it could for example do positional tracking for the head in VR games. See if you move your head towards objects or towards the floor and so on. Kinect can do countless of things with lower latency and higher precission in the future. We haven't seen what 3D cameras can do. The potential is big and the technology in its infancy.
The current implementation is from my perspective worthless though and was bad enough that it will be hard to show consumers "hey its not that bad actually".
Its perfectly understandable sceptisism.
6. "MS fans only play Shooter"
I think people in general like to play shooter has nothing to do with MS imo.
