Considering the negative campaign going on around Tales of Hearts R due to some scene cuts, it did surprisingly well. It did a higher first week than Innocence R, although proportionally it decreased.
Let's analyze the game sales vs install base at launch in Japan:
NDS ToI - 106k / 20m hardware = 0.53%
NDS ToH - 141k / 24m hardware = 0.59%
PSV ToIR - 47k / 529k hardware = 8.88%
PSV ToHR - 48k / 1.29m hardware = 3.72%
