I remember paying 30 bucks for a video games in the early 90's. Now they are double the cost but count in inflation and the spiraling expenses it takes to produce a game now. I think the video game industry is a relatively good bargain. It costs me 30 dollars for two tickets to the cinema and a bag of popcorn. As for the innovation, look at how much MS is spending just to have some original maps on GTA!!! Increased innovation is everywhere because Microsoft entered the ring.
