The only comparisons worth noting are the games that don't ever show up on PC as console exclusives. Lot harder to do objective comparisons in such instances. 

But only a complete idiot would expect there to be some sort of valid comparison to be made between the same game running on the best PC one could build using the best available components and a console. Consoles are not magic boxes that defy the laws of thermodynamics even with synergistic engineering among their customized components and code optimization. Any game developed to take advantages of any resources available on a top tier gaming PC is simply going to have a lot more to work with than a console. 

It's not an issue and frankly it really hasn't been since consoles and PCs started seeing the same games being released on multiple platforms. And yet we still get "compare these screen shots from a $199 console with the same game running on a $1,999 gaming PC."

More realistic comparisons would be between the average gaming PC, regardless of age, or maybe even a mid tier PC on a current build, which would still cost more than any console. Realistic because the likelihood of any PC developer trying to publish a game than won't run at playable performance levels on anything less than a $1k build (which is still far from high end) is highly improbable unless they're deliberately trying to cut down their potential customer base. 

If UE4 doesn't run better on a decent gaming PC than it does on the PS4, that just means the software engineers at Epic are doing it wrong.
