The ps3 hasn't yet passeed the PSP so that is up for debate. You're only as good as your last console, game, song, anything really. Agree with the 3rd party support. It will do better than the Vita, How could it not.

The success of the PS1/2/3. The PS4 is expected to follow in the foot steps pf its predecessors and once again become a 100 million hardware seller, be the market leader and have a 10 year life plan.
They lost market share from ps2-ps3. That point is moot. The ps3 is no where near 100 million yet and the ps4 and 720 will destroy the sales of the ps3. Look at the Wii right now.
