The music of Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Mega Man, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Halo... I catch myself humming these tunes all the time. They evoke emotion, memory, feeling. Good graphics are great but not lasting. More recently Xenoblade is a truly outstanding soundtrack that sticks in my head, and Last Story's work by nobuo uematsu took me back to my memories of FF. Graphics are great, but music has a greater impact to me. |
