Well, imagine Mario Sunshine, but locked into a Mansion àla Resident Evil 1 (With puzzles and locked doors too! But no typewritter), but instead of spraying everything with water, you have with you a vacuum cleaner that allow you to catch ghost. Catching a ghost is no easy task, you need to reveal it with light (àla Alan Wake, but it would be better to say that Alan Wake was inspired by Luigi's Mansion (?) ) and then go for it. There were some npc's here and there, and the story have a small (not small, but everyone saw this coming, it didn't make it less impressive) twist when you reach the basement. The final boss is pretty good, and you have to catch 50 boo's in order to see the true ending. There are also money, but other than changing some things from the ending it did not affect much the game. (It gave you a rank, though, based on how much money you had). It did not have replay value, though. (I'm not sure if playing a second time changed something). And it was not very long (I beat it in one sitting), but it is probably one of Nintendo's most unnapreciated gems.
