Half-arsed response. It should either be "on reflection we have concluded that use of the word 'hos' in this context was inappropriate so we have changed the name of the trophy." Or "Piss off this is a non-issue and we're not going to do anything about it because nothing needs to be done."
Own your decisions people, don't simply react to external pressure and make that the reason for taking action.
For the record, hos is a borderline misogynistic word and is definitely sexist. It has no place in common or flippant use. I agree with patching the trophy name, but I think lesser of SSM for their statement announcing the patch. Language matters, and denegrating language is not something to be used or regarded lightly.
