Legend of Zelda III featuring the orignal Link, setting and style, but modern visuals and sound. Super Mario Bros 5, with a complete modern graphical take, new types of worlds and settings.
Age of Empires 4 or Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds 2 - I actually liked this more than the AoE games on which it was based. AoE 2 HD gives me hope for the AoE series. I enjoy AoE Online, but I would like a return to the classic, realistic style. A totally re-done AoE 2 would be awesome.
KOTOR 3, only if done by Bioware.

A classic style but modern presentation Mega Man.
A Castlevania that is a cross between Lament of Innocence in gameplay and Super Castlevania IV for presentation, world and music.
