I don't have time to read your whole review at the moment (Walking Dead is coming on soon), but based on your last two paragraphs I already agree. Easily my favorite single game this gen (so far anyway), Bioshock, along with Metroid Prime, are not so much first person shooters as they are first person experiences. While they both have astonishing atmosphere, where Prime excels in flawless level design, Bioshock excels in a fantastic story with the coolest twist I've ever seen in a game.
One of my very favorite pieces of entertainment in any medium.
