| Dark_Lord_2008 said: Very small difference with review scores between the PS3 and XBox 360 does not show which game console is more popular, what game franchises/genres sell better on the two console systems. Review scores are subjective, based on the opinion of the reviewer and they are ineffective in deciding the popularity and success of the games. Game sales objectively determine the popularity and success of games, the consumers decide the popularity and success of games and console systems. Game sales numbers mean a lot more than review scores. The average game sales for top selling multi-platform and exclusive games over the years show a lot more than average review scores. |
If you want to go that route, I believe more multiplat games sell better on the PS3 or maybe not. Someone with sales data could look it up. I find the new data tools here to be lame.
Edit: I forgot to mention, if its popularity you're looking for then just check the charts where in the PS3 has been outselling the XBOX360 and the Wii. The fact is, the PS3 is selling more than the other two, making it "more popular".
