those mechanics from the ps2 era are miles better than any hack and slash game out there. 

Yeah I know I know! I'm just saying that maybe (maybe) it's time for a change xD Too much of anything can be bad. CoD4 was amazing imo and look at it now.

 

EDIT: IM NOT SAYING GoW is milked! I just mean that.. with 6 games now, using the same blades with minimal changes can.. become a bit yeah. I love them, I really do. They're amazing. But maybe change the moveset or try something new for the mythology. I can't see another trilogy with the same blades. Even Blades of Chaos to Athena to Exile were similar.


but the combat did get better with each one, also the gameplay was pretty much spot on from the first game. GoW3 did things better when it came to boss fights and actual combat and puzzles. 

Yeah it was spot on and I agree with the if it aint broke dont fix it. But at the same time: What can they possible do to top GoW3? I freaking cant think of anything. New gods and new mythology isn't enough if it plays out the same way. Give us something that feels as fresh as God of War 1 did. They did it once! They can do it again.
