I agree with others that you need to change the title, and perhaps edit your original post. I don't care how much you fucking hate Electronic Arts, and think they are the devil incarnate. That doesn't mean you should follow the devils example. If for no other reason then it undermines your argument, by making you look like a hypocrite.

Every publisher is guilty of bad behavior. To pretend otherwise is just fucking dumb, and it isn't just third parties that are at fault. Each of the manufacturers has fucked over consumers countless times. The only valid question is whether Electronic Arts has done so more then necessary, or was particularly egregious in what they have done. I personally think that they have, but I am not too terribly worried about them getting away with what they are doing, because I know the market by its nature is self correcting.
I am a big believer is cumulative effects. It is never just one thing that causes the ship to sink. It is always a chain of irresponsible choices. Electronic Arts running its operations like a fly by night outfit, and doing everything it can to swindle consumers out of every cent they can get their hands on. Will end up haunting them. It wont be people making the choice to boycott their goods. It will be people to scared to buy them in the first place.
That point it time is nowhere near at hand. Most gamers may gripe, but they still gladly grab their ankles for the company. They don't hate what is happening enough, or afraid enough of getting screwed over to miss the next installment in their favorite Electronic Arts franchise. If you support Bioware, or you just have to buy the next sports game that will come from them. Then you are a supporter of Electronic Arts as a whole.
Personally I don't understand it myself. Of coarse I am no longer a fan of Bioware after what they pulled on me with Mass Effect. As for sports games I really never got those period.
