No. I imagine Sony might drop out of the handheld race next gen if Vita sales don't go up and concentrate on their core business, which is home console gaming. Nintendo, on the other hand, won't drop out of the handheld market for sure. The 3DS isn't selling hot right now but it's still profitable for them and there's room for future growth for the platform (especially in the west this year, with the console finally getting a decent lineup).
