I've wanted to buy SimCity 4 for awhile now... but it turns out that the Mac Version is over 9'000$. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

(It's actually not over 9'000$, but it sure is more expensive than the Windows Version!)

See there is your problem.  You are trying to play PC games on a Mac.
