- No, it won't last as long as the PS4 just like a mid-range PC from 2006 has been able to last as long the PS3. In other words, will that configuration allow me to play games well for the next 7-8 years? I doubt it.

- It can do more but this pc's purpose is for gaming.

- $450 - does that include the mouse + kb + OS?

- I'll believe Digital Foundry when they say "Put into perspective, this level of throughput exceeds that of even capable £120+ PC graphics cards, including current mid-range favourite the Radeon HD 7850."

-A midrange PC from 2006 does last as long as the PS3.  I know because I own one.  You do not, so I understand why you are skeptical.
-Look if all you are going to do is cover your ears and pretend its other uses don't exist, then yeah I guess I can't argue with a child.

-Yes that does include all that stuff.

-The fact is PS4's graphics card will be downclocked to save on yields and heat, while the PC's 7850 can always overclock an extra 20% to compete with high end cards.   If anything it will not be weaker.  

-Also a 7850 comes with Bioshock: Infinite and Tomb Raider.   So now you can deduct $110.  Hmm that makes it $500 for a PS4 now + being able to do everything you already need a PC for.

 

To everyone else:  Seriously people you need to calm down.  Why do PC's have to be bad price/performance wise?  It's like some of you can't accept that they are affordable now, and frankly idk why.  PC's were complete rip-offs in 2005 when SONY and MS were killing themselves to sell their consoles at massive losses, but that just isn't true anymore.  I will be getting a PS4 day 1 for its games, portability, and the fact that it can be used with my Vita.  However PC's really are worth looking into people.
