How important is backward compatibility in truth?

What you're saying basically becomes: I will never buy a Sony console because I can't play all the older games that I originally didn't show an interest in and have passed up on during their respective generation. Not hating, I just find it a bit silly to put the problem that way.

There are actually a lot of games if you combine the lirbaries of all three consoles, just not enough for me to fork out the money for all those individual consoles. Especially now that I have more than enough gaming at my disposal. Believe it or not, BC is a huge factor for me, and I though it was for many others as well. I guess now that Sony no longer cares, neither to its fans.
