If I got to that point with half my health, then fine have me start at the checkpoint with half my health. That means no advantage and makes the game no easier. Without that checkpoint it doesn't make the game any harder, it just makes it so people can act more hardcore and say they are playing a 100 hour game. Also I beat 11 bosses I'm pretty sure cause I beat 2 in each world then went back to the Dragon God. |
Yeah you accomplished the path once. That isn't demonstrating success at all. Do it again, prove you were successful and not lucky (and can do it with the same health/items/etc). That's what it's about. It's demoralizing to have to run through a difficult path again knowing the boss is at the end that you have to beat or you start all over again. Demon's souls is only 100 hours with multiplayer, I think I spent maybe 30-40 on singleplayer. (Long time ago!)
11 bosses isn't even close to the end. Wiki lists 22, I think 2 are just dragons that you can bypass, so you made it about halfway through.
