Looks interesting but I don't feel like start an Origin account.

Origin isn't bad.  I don't understand peoples hate for it.  Steam wasnt that great when it started either.  Although the spyware was annoying with Origin

Yeah, people forget that steam was pretty much shit on a stick when it launched. It got better like 4-5years later so. Origin is ok for the short time it has existed. Lets just hope it manages the presure from Sim City. I'm gonna play the shit out of that game :D

Yeah people give steam a free pass and act like it was always as good as what it is now.  All online systems ar like this.  PSN and XBL are completely different than what they are now from 5-10 years ago.  Origin will continue to grow and get better and I dont mind that it has some exclusives to origin.  It doesnt really bother me, just a part of business

My problem with Origin isn't that the program is shit (it is largely shit though. Steam came out years ago, you'd expect some progress from back then), it's just that it was completely unneeded. I don't want to have multiple programs storing my games. I want to have it all in one place. That is the benefit of having Steam. All in a single place, one click away. Now, every time I launch Origin to play BF3 I have to download a fucking 6GB patch, so I just cancel it and close the program again. If BF3 was on Steam I would have the program always on and not have to worry about huge patches getting in my way when I want to play.

Edit: And people did definitely not give Steam a free pass...they give it a free pass now obviously because it's a vastly better experience.

The only program i complain about is Usoft because i think it is truly horrific.  Origin isn't all that bad but the updates can be annoying, but from a business perspective i understand why they are doing it.  Not only is it getting traffic but it allows them to advertise there games better.
