AIAS said: I am not buying any Warimario games no more. It's not that they are not fun or clever. It is that the graphic artists are just lazy. I mean look at Trine2 and Rayman Legends. The horsepower is there but yet Nintendomis driving 20 miles per hour on the highway. Where is the rule that says graphics for games for children must be blocky and simple? PS I do not wish photorealistic graphics, like art styling like cell shading but want more curry for my buck! |
No offense, but what are you talking about? Trine 2 and Rayman Legends both look graphically great, but are you actually suggesting that both are graphically superior to NSMB U? The art style may be the same as the other entries in the series (by design), but the HD nature of the hardware shines through just fine for a launch title. Everything is super smooth and incredibly well animated, there is no "blockiness" to be found anywhere, and while the art style is simple, it's simple in the right way.
Besides that, it's a guarantee that the next 3D Mario is going to be drop dead gorgeous, as is pretty enough to rival ANYTHING coming for the PS4 or Xbox. How do I know? Look at Mario Galaxy. The Wii hardware was obviously way less powerful than PS3, yet Mario Galaxy was easily one of the best looking games on any console last gen. So if Mario could look THAT good on Wii hardware, just imagine what he could look like on Wii U hardware. Or was Galaxy also too "blocky and simple" for ya?
