I will definitely get the expansion. The key to getting rainbows is to spend as little gems as possible, but to still be prepared for what is coming, especially with arrow towers.
Remember you can blow up your current towers for cash/gems, a great way to get some powerful stuff say if you know there won't be anymore anti-air, etc.
