This sounds a lot like wishful thinking from the author. The "evidence" doesn't really hold water.
I love Jet Force Gemini -- it's one of the top 10 N64 games -- but I can't imagine Microsoft would green-light such a project, especially considering the age and popularity of the IP.
If Rare is indeed working on a sequel, I hope it stays true to the original, and doesn't try to force it into a Gears of War mold.
