When I was 4 or 5 years old I played the original Super Mario Bros. (NES) at my best friend's house. We weren't any good but his brother always made it to world 7 or 8. Super Mario Bros. was my very first videogaming experience. We also played Chip & Dale, Super Mario Bros. 2, DuckTales and Adventure Island. Later, when the N64 launched I saw the advertisements for Mario 64 and begged my parents to buy me one for christmas. I had never wanted a gaming console before but those ads were so amazing! Another friend of mine got his N64 for birthday and I distinctly remember us kids sitting around the TV, taking turns playing - we simply couldn't make it past the bridge in the first level, we always fell down or got hit by the goomba lol.
Later that year I got my N64 (Mario 64 bundle) as a christmas present and ever since videogames have been a huge part of my life.
