State of decay is a single player, open-world zombie survival game under development for Xbox 360 arcade and PC. It’s like no game seen before on Xbox, involving using real life tactics to survive in a style similar to DayZ.
State of Decay is not like other games on Xbox such as Dead Island or Dead Rising as your aim is not to complete missions or tasks but simply to survive, but it’s not as simple as you think. State of Decay considered all real-life scenarios such as illness, hunger and thirst.
State of decay has an amazing feature which involves building, fortifying and advancing your own base. Players must find and rescue survivors, assign them roles and provide for them to keep morale levels high. The vast amount of features and realism which is added into the game will just make it a much more intense gaming experience.
Here is list of key features involved in base creating
Ability to build structures such as pharmacy’s and farms.
Recruit survivors and bring them back and individually give them a role.
Build generators for electricity and power.
Fight off against attacking zombies.
Build outposts surrounding your base or in different locations.
Repair weapons and vehicles.
Farm for foods and crops.
Survivors have a mind state which you can read for example a survivor could be very upset and consider leaving, if you don’t find out and resolve why they’re upset they may leave and take your supplies with them.
Sending survivors on raids for supplies
As you can see the game includes many features which add to realism which makes it much more interesting to play. The release date has yet to be announced however, it’s been hinted to be released around spring 2013 and we at GamingXL are very excited.
