Really they just run them at lower than par resolutions (BF3 is 704p), and get an extra 10% boost in performance. For instance a 6450 ($30 card) is rated as about the same strength as the card the PS3 was derived from, and still performs just as well in modern games as the PS3. The real reason Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 looked awesome is because ND and GG are amazing at what they do! |
I've been looking at parts and and am thinking about going with 7950 and overclocking it. I'd like to get the most for my money and have a pc with good longevity. However, I doubt I'll have money for a gaming pc for at least a few months :(. I hope there are a lot of good sales this summer.
