I guess a good game is a good game regardless of a platform but it seems like, since the DS, Nintendo has been designing its hardware for unique experiences. Do people want to use this unique hardware for games that don't take advantage of it? Yes, some third party games have additional features and some use the new hardware very well (Hard to go back to Arkham City on the Xbox after playing the Wii U version) but when I buy a new Nintendo console, I look for something that will show off the new features.
