PSU/motherboard/HDD/dvd etc. should add to another $200

So around $800 in total. Will max out FC3 at 1080p/30 fps.

edit: I misunderstood OP l0l. Thought I was given a challenge.

i5? Man those parts would have to be replaced after two to three years. This coming gen it wont even cut it very long. PC is more expensive in the long run, especially when you totally in the multiplats you buy for the PC.

Not that expensive. I have an i7 2600k, 8gb RAM and a GTX 550 ti. I can play every game out there on at least medium, most games high, older ones maxed out, and will be able to for some time. This cost me just below £500 (including all the other parts). If I upgrade the GPU, PSU and maybe RAM it'll last probably another 5 years... and that would cost me maybe £300 for high-end components. Which would mean I spent a total of £800 on the PC's internals over 7 years, which I don't think is expensive at all. If you wanted to max out every game at 1080p and 60fps then I'd probably have to double the figures, but not everyone needs to do that, games look fantastic on my PC already.
