Besides God of War pretty much all other good hack and slash games are made by third party studios.  I'm hoping the Onimusha series gets revived next generation. 

That's true, and I also hope Onimusha will make a return - Be it with Samanosuke or a new character. Have you ever played Otogi on the original Xbox? That game was awesome! I was really hoping for a sequel.

No sounds like a good game though I did play a fair amount of Sega games on the original X-Box I have Shenmue 2, Sega GT 2000, Jet Set Radio Future and Crazy Taxi 3 for it.

Look it up when you have time. People used to say it was the Xbox's answer to Shinobi on the PS2. Thre are similarities between the two. It was a very hard game.
